Christian Louboutin Limited "Peace of Shoe"

Christian Louboutin Limited "Peace of Shoe"

Christian Louboutin has created a very limited-edition called "Peace of Shoe" ($1,495) to benefit microfinance and for the charity, Grameen Foundation, an organization dedicated to reducing poverty around the world by providing business opportunities and relevant news via mobile phone technology to people living in rural areas. He was inspired by the book "Creating a World Without Poverty," written by Nobel Prize winner Muhammad Yunus, founder of Grameen Bank and Grameen Foundation. "When I read this book, I fell in love with this wonderful man---his ideas and his ideals," Louboutin said in a statement. The shoe is a classic silk, peep-toe platform trimmed with hand-stitched and embroidered Indian ribbon. The designer produced only 33 pairs of Peace of Shoe, available now in three of the designer's stateside stores. It's offered in champagne in New York, in lavender in Miami, and in pink in Los Angeles. Since 100% of the proceeds will go to the Grameen Foundation, now there is a great reason to purchase a pair of Christian Louboutin.
