Discarded to Divine- Recycled Fashions. Renewed Lives.

The necklaces were made of vintage Chanel and Calvin Klein buckles.

Yesterday, we volunteered for Discarded to Divine Event held at St. Mary's Cathedral in San Francisco. This is a charity event featuring a collection of fashion creations such as clothes, purses, accessories and home decor created from the discarded materials, benefitting the St. Vincent de Paul Society's services to  those people in need. The show was divided into silent and live auctions, and we were in the silent auction devision (it's a pity that we didn't see the runway show in live auction). We enjoyed this inspiring event a lot, which was a place full of independent spirits and creativities. It's really amazing to see how those discarded materials such as clothes and curtains transformed into fashionable items. Here are some photos of the auction items, enjoy! If you were interested in fashion event had a chance to go, don't miss this meaningful event in 2012, I swear you can see incredible creativities here.
